John Gossard's return to black metal since Weakling. Has some similarities to the last song off Dead as Dreams "Disasters in the Sun" in so that the songs are long, chaotic, suicidal jams. Otherwise it is quite a departure, a descending into a darker vein.

Contemporary black metal classic that created it's own style of epic ethereal, droning, doom, forest black metal. Should be revered as much as the best of the first wave Norwegian bands, of which the artwork is very reminiscent of, though of which the sound is something of it's own.
This album has spawned a thousand second rate imitators that are not worth mentioning. However, there is one album that is obviously influenced by Two Hunters and achieves a contesting level of sonic aptitude.

Darkthrone - Panzerfaust

Fenriz's vox can be challenging but this along with Translyvanian Hunger is one of Darkthrone's best albums (and at least the vox arn't as bad as Attila's on Mayhem's De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas). Also has a lyrical contribution from Varg about slaughtering 5,000,000 christians, killing 10,000 trolls and satisfying 5,000,000 women in one night.
