Thergothon - Streams fromt he Heavens

Of the first wave of the original funeral doom bands. The sound qaulity is shit but the music is transcending.

Sickoids - Demo Tape
download
Darker, faster, more chaotic than Witch Hunt (sharing two members). One of the best bands i have ever seen live.

57 Octaves Below - We are all in this Armed & Discograhpy
download
Members of Wake Up on Fire and Nux Vomica create some of the most beautiful sadstyle ambient folk, slow-core, country music you will ever fucking hear.

Agrimonia - Host of the Winged
download
Heavy, driving crust occasionally broken with some ethereal guitar effects creating a more ambient soundscape. The drums are fucking pounding.
Neurosis - Through Silver In Blood
download
"...there is no light without darkness..."
The sound of the mechanical and the spiritual violently struggling with each other while falling into a descending spiral.

Mania - Current Chaos
download
Fucking dark black metal. Has a lo-fi tape quality without sacrificing heaviness or intensity. Also of Leech and Vault Dweller.

Caulfield - Caulfield
download
Dark hardcore in the vein of His Hero is Gone meets epic crust like Fall of Efrafa with detours into black metal and stoner sludge.

Dispirit - Rehearsal At Oboroten
download
John Gossard's return to black metal since Weakling. Has some similarities to the last song off Dead as Dreams "Disasters in the Sun" in so that the songs are long, chaotic, suicidal jams. Otherwise it is quite a departure, a descending into a darker vein.

Wolves in the Throne Room - Two Hunters
download
Contemporary black metal classic that created it's own style of epic ethereal, droning, doom, forest black metal. Should be revered as much as the best of the first wave Norwegian bands, of which the artwork is very reminiscent of, though of which the sound is something of it's own.
This album has spawned a thousand second rate imitators that are not worth mentioning. However, there is one album that is obviously influenced by Two Hunters and achieves a contesting level of sonic aptitude.
This is that album: Skagos - Ást
Krang - Bog of Eternal Stenchcore
download
80's nostalgic crust punk with pterodactyl screams reminiscent of Skarp and detours into melodic Japanese hardcore leads barley cutting through the thick wall of putrid stench.
From the Depths - Germinate
download
This band had so much potential as the best, most innovative anarcho punk band to come out in a long time, only to be cut short by their drummer being a skum fuck... So it goes.

Parrhesia - Cries of Hate
download
Full title: "For Everything to be Consummated, For me to Feel Less Alone, I Had Only to Wish That There Be A Large Crowd of Spectators The Day of My Execution and That They Greet Me with Cries of Hate"
The chaos of the Orchid, the darkness of His Hero is Gone.
Amebix - Monolith
download
Though Arise! has more of Amebix's quintessential anthems, this is the more concrete, fluid album.

Slowdive - Souvlaki
download
Everyone refers to this as the "IInd best shoegaze album" which i think is accurate only because Loveless is too fucking good. Warm, ethereal, dream pop. Beautiful.
The New Yorker - Home is Where the Trees Grow
Was going to be called "Still a Virgin" 'till the guitarist lost his virginity right before the release date.
